T'was The Nite Of Thanksgiving Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep. The leftovers beckoned -- the dark meat and white, But I fought the temptation with all of my might! Tossing and turning with anticipation The thought of a snack became infatuation. So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore. I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes. I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, Til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground. I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie. But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees.... Happy eating to all--pass the cranberries, please. May your stuffing be tasty, may your turkey be plump. May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump, May your yams be delicious, may your pies take the prize, May your Thanksgiving dinner stay OFF OF YOUR THIGHS.

I Think This Applies To You A good woman is proud of herself. She respects herself and others. She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from the person she is with, nor does she expect them to read her mind. She is quite capable of articulating her needs. A good woman is hopeful. She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true. She knows love, therefore she gives love. She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated. If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears. A good woman has a dash of inspiration, a dabble of endurance. She knows that she will, at times, have to inspire others to reach the potential God gave them. A good woman knows her past, understands her present and moves toward the future. A good woman knows God. She knows that with God the world is her playground, but without God she will just be played. A good woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past. Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons, meant to bring her closer to self knowledge and unconditional self love. Girl Smile.....YOU KNOW YOU HAVE IT GOING ON! ......So Keep ON Keeping On. * * * * * * * * * i might have posted this up here before...but i don't care -- i'm passing it on. =)

things to keep in mind... Maybe we are meant to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. Maybe when the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us. Maybe the best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had. Maybe it is true that we don't know what we have got until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives. Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart; but if it does not, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone. Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile. There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real. Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy. Always put yourself in others shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you cant go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you are the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying. *mwah*
it's that time again...

the little things... in a conversation i had with a friend via im then on the phone we were talking about all the little things. little things you ask? let me explain... i was first trying to get his opinion on what he thought of something (going about it in a roundabout way of course), and i didn't exactly get the reaction i was going for. so i explained myself by bringing up something totally different (yet kinda related to what i was getting at). it's like the first drag of a cig after you've had a bad day...or when you find out someone appreciates some little things you do, and let's you know they appreciate that. or when someone gives you something that you talked about a long time ago, remembered about it, got it (or already had it) and eventually gives it to you. or when someone asks you how your day went, and really listened to you. a random call, just to say hi (or a text). or the first kiss, a gentle touch, or kind words when you're feeling like shit. those are the little things that i like so much, and appreciate daily. after explaining myself he changed his answer and told me that yeah, he would like and appreciate that too. you see, it's ALL ABOUT the little things. they are the most important. remember that.

Schwarzenegger Set to Take Office Mon Nov 17, 3:07 AM ET By TOM CHORNEAU, Associated Press Writer SACRAMENTO, Calif. - In a departure from recent inaugurations, there will be no big parties and no gala balls after Arnold Schwarzenegger (news - web sites) takes the oath of office as California's 38th governor. Bitterness over the divisive recall vote and the state's fiscal troubles have put a damper on livelier festivities although plenty of celebrities promised to be on hand. The night before the Austrian-born actor was to take the oath, stars such as Rob Lowe, Rob Reiner and Tom Arnold were seen around town, and former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz was among a group of transition advisers who met with the governor-elect. Even Schwarzenegger's relatives added a bit of glamour. Meeting with the transition team Sunday, Schwarzenegger took time out to thank his mother-in-law, Eunice Shriver, the sister of the late President Kennedy. Eunice Shriver's daughter, Maria Shriver, is married to Schwarzenegger. "I want to thank my mother-in-law who has come out so many times since I announced my candidacy," he said. "Campaigning with me, driving with the bus up and down, being out there, talking and speaking." Eunice Shriver had said that even President Kennedy would have voted for the Republican, Schwarzenegger said, but then he paused and added with a laugh, "I'm just making that up." Schwarzenegger, elected last month at the same time Democratic Gov. Gray Davis (news - web sites) was recalled, was scheduled to be sworn in Monday during an hourlong ceremony on the steps of the state Capitol. About 7,500 guests were invited to attend. Schwarzenegger's wife, Maria Shriver, was expected to hold the Bible while California Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald George administered the oath. Aides said that Schwarzenegger planned a brief speech. Later in the day he was to attend three events: a luncheon inside the Capitol rotunda for state and federal officials, a private family gathering across the street and an invitation-only reception sponsored by the state Chamber of Commerce (news - web sites). But Schwarzenegger also planned to get to work quickly. He was scheduled to return to the Capitol by mid-afternoon to start the business of running California's government, a job that became more daunting over the weekend when Schwarzenegger's chief financial deputy pegged the state budget deficit at $25 billion far more than other estimates. First on Schwarzenegger's to-do list may be his promise to issue a first-day-in-office executive order repealing the increase in the car tax. Schwarzenegger also has said he will call the Legislature back into session, probably Tuesday, to deal with a range of issues including midyear budget cuts, reform of the state's worker compensation system and a repeal of a new law that lets undocumented workers get driver's licenses. Mindful of the bitterness that still surrounds the first transfer of power after the recall, not to mention the state's trouble with red ink, the Schwarzenegger team planned no black-tie balls, a departure from some past California inaugurations. In 1995, Natalie Cole sang at then-Gov. Pete Wilson's inaugural gala. The 1999 inaugural for Davis included a $3.7 million event featuring Lionel Richie, Kenny G and a reading by "Happy Days" actor Henry Winkler. Davis toned down his second inaugural, held earlier this year amid the state's fiscal crisis, to a casual party at an auditorium with the swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy entertaining. This time, the inauguration promises to be well documented. Requests for press credentials came from TV crews and print journalists around the globe including Japan, Australia, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and, of course, Schwarzenegger's native Austria. Nearly 650 journalists were set to cover the swearing-in as many as might cover a presidential inauguration. "Sacramento has never seen anything like this before it is astonishing," said Sherry Bebitch Jeffe, a political scientist at the University of Southern California. "There has never been this kind of intense media attention on the governor at anytime in the state." http://story.news.yahoo.com * * * * * * * * * * * we shall see now. won't we....

random quote... The perfect love affair is one which is conducted entirely by post. -- George Bernard Shaw
Your Weekly Horoscope for Nov 17 to 23 Dear Eileen Joy, You will certainly get more than a few revelations over the course of this week, mainly because of all the planetary activity going on in the 'mystical' and 'karmic' sector of your chart. For some time now, the cosmos has been introducing you to new ways to understand and perceive what is going on in your world. Your vision is being expanded to encompass the spiritual and the physical as one holistic event, rather than the two being split apart. The solar Eclipse in Sagittarius is going to make you even more aware of the subtle energies that govern your world, and direct the course of events, sometimes without you even being aware of it. This is why you need to stay calm and centered, if certain deep-seated issues in your life suddenly raise their heads. It is time to face them fearlessly, and to find out just why they have posed such a problem. This may also cause you to feel unsure of yourself, and uncertain as to your next steps along the path. But as everything begins to settle, you too will begin to feel so much more positive about the way things seem to be panning out. A new start will become very evident. Best wishes for today, from the astrologers of Yahoo-Astrocenter * * * * * * * * very, very interesting....
You Won't Believe What Happens at Age 30 The new age of adulthood: 30. Our extended adolescence has really, well, extended. But according to Josh Albertson, Lockhart Steele, and Jonathan Van Gieson, authors of the new "Book of Ages 30," life begins at 30. Thirty is cool. Party on, dude! That should be good news to the 3,789,800 Americans who will turn 30 this year. Unlike their parents, today's thirtysomethings think of this milestone as a new beginning and not an end. Priorities shift. New things become important. Uh oh. You're adulthood is showing. "When we started writing this book, I really didn't feel like there was a whole lot of buzz about being 30," Albertson told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "Now there is a lot of talk of 30 being the new 21. People are looking at it as the beginning of adulthood. I think people put off growing up for longer. Sometimes people look up when they're 30 and sort of wonder where they are and what they've done." So who are America's thirtysomethings and what do they have to look forward to? "Book of Ages 30" has an interesting take on it: How Old IS 30? If you're 30, you're old--specifically, you're older than 42 percent of all Americans. But you're not alone. Fifteen percent of Americans are also in their 30s. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Being 30 If you're 30, you've already lost 10 percent of your muscle mass. You're likely to be in debt to the tune of $20,000. But the good news is that you're also likely to be having sex 2.24 times a week. Sex While 81 percent of women and 71 percent of men have been married by their early 30s, there are plenty who are still virgins after their 30th birthday: 1 in 33 men and 1 in 25 women. Your Good Looks Men at 30 are on average 5' 10.2" tall and weigh 174 pounds, while 30-year-old women are 5' 4.6" tall and weigh 130 pounds. Let's Talk Money The median income for 30-year-old men is $30,510, while the median income for 30-year-old women is $21,473. On average, 30 year olds have held 7.5 jobs. They have a 24 percent chance of being promoted in the next year. Career Peaks and Valleys J.K. Rowling published the first volume in the "Harry Potter" series just before she turned 32. By 30, Harrison Ford went from being a carpenter to an actor in "American Graffiti," and back to being a carpenter. Remember Mr. T? At age 30, in case you wondered, he was about to play the villain in "Rocky III." When they were 30, no one other than their family and friends knew who Oprah Winfrey or Jane Austen were. No More Naps You're less likely to fall asleep at your desk than those young twentysomething whippersnappers down the hallway. Just over half of 18- to 29-year-olds report substantial daytime sleepiness, compared with 33 percent of the over-30 crowd. Don't Shoot! Nearly half, 45 percent, of all thirtysomethings own a firearm. In fact, more people in their 30s own firearms than do people in any other decade of their lives. click here for the article * * * * * * * * interesting read...don't ya think? thanks manong merrick! =)

Study: Fellatio may significantly decrease the risk of breast cancer in women Thursday, October 2, 2003 Posted: 9:19 AM EDT (1319 GMT) (AP) -- Women who perform the act of fellatio and swallow semen on a regular basis, one to two times a week, may reduce their risk of breast cancer by up to 40 percent, a North Carolina State University study found. Doctors had never suspected a link between the act of fellatio and breast cancer, but new research being performed at North Carolina State University is starting to suggest that there could be an important link between the two. In a study of over 15,000 women suspected of having performed regular fellatio and swallowed the ejaculatory fluid, over the past ten years, the researchers found that those actually having performed the act regularly, one to two times a week, had a lower occurrence of breast cancer than those who had not. There was no increased risk, however, for those who did not regularly perform. "I think it removes the last shade of doubt that fellatio is actually a healthy act," said Dr. A.J. Kramer of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, who was not involved in the research. "I am surprised by these findings, but am also excited that the researchers may have discovered a relatively easy way to lower the occurrence of breast cancer in women." The University researchers stressed that, though breast cancer is relatively uncommon, any steps taken to reduce the risk would be a wise decision. "Only with regular occurrence will your chances be reduced, so I encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of their daily routine," said Dr. Helena Shifteer, one of the researchers at the University. "Since the emergence of the research, I try to fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances." The study is reported in Friday's Journal of Medical Research. In 1991, 43,582 women died of breast cancer, as reported by the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Len Lictepeen, deputy chief medical officer for the American Cancer Society, said women should not overlook or "play down" these findings. "This will hopefully change women's practice and patterns, resulting in a severe drop in the future number of cases," Lictepeen said. Sooner said the research shows no increase in the risk of breast cancer in those who are, for whatever reason, not able to fellate regularly. "There's definitely fertile ground for more research. Many have stepped forward to volunteer for related research now in the planning stages," he said. Almost every woman is, at some point, going to perform the act of fellatio, but it is the frequency at which this event occurs that makes the difference, say researchers. Also key seems to be the protein and enzyme count in the semen, but researchers are again waiting for more test data. The research consisted of two groups, 6,246 women ages 25 to 45 who had performed fellatio and swallowed on a regular basis over the past five to ten years, and 9,728 women who had not or did not swallow. The group of women who had performed and swallowed had a breast cancer rate of 1.9 percent and the group who had not had a breast cancer rate of 10.4 percent. "The findings do suggest that there are other causes for breast cancer besides the absence of regular fellatio," Shafteer said. "It's a cause, not THE cause." -CNN.com/health * * * * * * * * * * * one of my boys passed this on to me. okay, great that ya'll are willing to help us out and all....but man...semen is NASTY! i'm all for fellatio, but shit...you taste your own shit and tell us to swallow that!

To my friends To My Friends Who Are...........SINGLE Love is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But if you just let it fly, it will come to you when you least expect it. Love can make you happy but often it hurts, but love's only special when you give it to someone who is really worth it. So take your time and choose the best. To My Friends Who Are............NOT SO SINGLE Love isn't about becoming somebody else's 'perfect person.' It's about finding someone who helps you become the best person you can be. To My Friends Who Are............PLAYBOY/GIRL TYPE Never say 'I love you' if you don't care. Never talk about feelings if they aren't there. Never touch a life if you mean to break a heart. Never look in the eye when all you do is lie. The cruelest thing a guy can do to a girl is to let her fall in love when he doesn't intend to catch her fall and it works both ways... To My Friends Who Are............MARRIED Love is not about 'it's your fault', but 'I'm sorry.' Not 'where are you', but 'I'm right here.' Not 'how could you', but 'I understand.' Not 'I wish you were', but 'I'm thankful you are.' To My Friends Who Are............ENGAGED The true measure of compatibility is not the years spent together but how good you are for each other. To My Friends Who Are............HEARTBROKEN Heartbreaks last as long as you want and cut as deep as you allow them to go. The challenge is not how to survive heartbreaks but to learn from them. To My Friends Who Are............NAIVE How to be in love: Fall but don't stumble, be consistent but not too persistent, share and never be unfair, understand and try not to demand, and get hurt but never keep the pain. To My Friends Who Are............POSSESSIVE It breaks your heart to see the one you love happy with someone else but it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you. To My Friends Who Are............AFRAID TO CONFESS Love hurts when you break up with someone. It hurts even more when someone breaks up with you. But love hurts the most when the person you love has no idea how you feel. To My Friends Who Are............STILL HOLDING ON A sad thing about life is when you meet someone and fall in love, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and that you have wasted years on someone who wasn't worth it. If he isn't worth it now he's not going to be worth it a year or 10 years from now. Let go..... TO ALL MY FRIENDS....... My wish for you is a man/women whose love is honest, strong, mature, never-changing, uplifting, protective, encouraging, rewarding and unselfish.

Happiness "Happiness depends upon ourselves." By contemplating this important issue you just might realize you've looking too far ahead to enjoy the moments that make up a happy lifetime: that wet ear lick from a frisky dog... a hug from a small child... the earnest "I love you" uttered by that special someone you love with all your heart... Happiness isn't about money, prestige or fame. It's about enjoying what you have. It's not about yearning for things you haven't got. "Happiness is a journey, not a destination; happiness is to be found along the way not at the end of the road, for then the journey is over and it's too late. The time for happiness is today not tomorrow." --Paul H. Dunn ..

guilty pleasures... first go here...love test - animal test this is what i got... 1. You are attracted to those who have split personality, like cold as ice on the outside, but hot as fire in the heart. 2. In the process of courtship, the approach that would make you feel irresistable is straight-forward, just tell you he/she loves you. 3. The impression you would like to give to your lover is flexible. 4. You don't like it when your partner is insecure. 5. The kind of relationship you would like to build with your partner is one that you care not only about the present but also the future with your partner, a long-lasting relationship that you can grow with. 6. You care about the society and morality, you won't do anything wrong after marriage. 7. You think of marriage as a precious thing. Once you get married, you'll treasure it and your partner very much. 8. At this moment, you don't have the thirst for love, you can't do anything for it, you won't fall for it easily. then go here [it's fun!]
i am the one... You are Neo
You are Neo, from "The Matrix." You display a perfect fusion of heroism and compassion. What Matrix Persona Are You? brought to you by Quizilla hehehe i knew it! =D
signs... i've been asking for signs lately (just cause, i'd like to know some things). funny thing is...they've been popping up (as early as the next day). it's very weird to actually get my signs sooner rather than later, like my little prayer to jesus...i got my answer in like 4 days (which happens to be my favorite number =D). so i'll just leave with this, my favorite line from Matrix Revolutions... love is a word...what matters is the connection it applies too. *MWAH*

DON'T Don't attempt to run from the past, it is always behind you. Don't be afraid of opposition. Remember a kite rises against the wind. Don't be afraid of tomorrow, for God has already been there. Don't be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless treasure you can always carry easily. Don't be angry at a friend who told your secret for neither could you keep it to yourself. Don't be concerned others not appreciating you. Be concerned about you not appreciating others. Don't be irreplaceable --- if you can't be replaced, you won't be promoted. Don't be so Heavenly minded that you do no earthly good. Don't control. Be in control. Don't count the days. Make the days count. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. Don't ever slam a door --- you may want to go back. Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have. Don't get good at doing something if you don't like doing it. Don't get married only because of the money. You can borrow it cheaper. Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant. Don't kill the dream - execute it! Don't learn the tricks of the trade, learn the trade. Don't let anybody walk through your mind with dirty feet. Don't let people drive you crazy when it is within walking distance. Don't let time take control of your destiny. Let your destiny take control of your time. Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do. Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. Don't limit your challenges --- challenge your limits. Don't listen to what I say; listen to what I mean. Don't love the things you own, lest they own you. Don't measure your life by how many breaths you take, measure it by how many times you get your breath taken away. Don't pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger people. Do let your friends check out these DON'Ts

Dear Capricorn, you seem to like to hide your feelings and your emotional needs from other people. You really need to be able to trust other people in order to share your feeling with them. They seem to have to guess at your deepest secrets. Yet, today you could save a lot of time in your love life, if you would just accept to tell your partner what you want out of your relationship, or even what you would like to change about it. Talk about it. Your partner is listening... * * * * * * * * * * man, sometimes these things are right on the money.
