My Jersey crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 6, 2018 @ 4:30 am. His battle with cancer was a difficult one & December the year before he got an infection that never really went away. I miss him so much.
My focus last year was to rebuild myself. I did Iron Strength, BBG & focused on running long distance without intervals. I continued my run streak, and stayed with my usual training plans. At the Chicago Marathon 2018 I finally broke my old PR, then at CIM, I broke it again.
What helped me the most was focusing on not just physically getting stronger, but focusing on my mind. Practicing mindfulness while on the run & on my own time. I focused on callousing & getting better at the simple act of running.
At the end of January I finally sub 2’d a half marathon, then in February, I did it again.
Granted I dropped a lot of weight, but I think what’s helped me is consistency, focus & just working on my all over mind body strength.
I traveled, went to Vancouver, another cruise with my parents, NYC & Chicago. I’ll go to NYC & Vancouver again later this year & another cruise with my family.
I’m trying to focus on memories & not really collecting things except for pictures. I have a lot of pictures of my pup son. I miss him every day. I do a lot in honor of him.
